Moving forward

Well - problems have presented themselves and we have overcome them. Winter in Rochester has made it hard to keep everyone's interest level up. I promised my kickstarter campaign a longer movie and this meant adding several new characters to the script. This has changed many of the existing plot points and created other plot points. The First Half of the script will most likely exceed an hour - so before we hammer out all the threads of the plots in the second part of the script I hope to start getting the cast and crew ready to start planning Filming Part One. We have seven new cast members to audition. SO - the story revolves around "Bring your daughter to work Day" the day GLaDOS comes online and starts killing the staff. As far as a pilot goes this is gold. e introduce many recurring characters. Caroline, Cave Johnson, Doug Rattman, Henry Armstrong, Case Bourbon, Max Perterson, Sarah, Clara, Greg, GLaDOS, etc. Good things are happening. And I'm sure once we have overcome these challenges - everyone will be impressed. The job is a little stressful - but now that spring is almost here we are going to make some bold strides forward. * mental note start using Active voice when I write this blog - sounds better. ----------------------------------------------- Interior Test Chamber. Peterson enters the chamber, the doors close behind him. The Camera shifts from Peterson to see the vast room. Peterson is on a platform. The floor drops away sharply as if it were a cliff face.there is another platform in the distance. In the air there is an energy ball bouncing between the emitter and the opposite wall. The ancillary computer explains the test. Ancillary Computer: Welcome to the Aperture Science Enrichment Facility. Today's test of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device will include Berthold rays in a electrostatic containment bubble. Please be assured, while Bertholdrays are a form of deadly radiation that normally causes living animal tissue to disintegrate, the electrostatic containment should prevent test subjects from excessive lethal exposure. We hope you find this Test is safe, harmless, And we're certain it will not try to kill you. Most Failsafes are in place. Have a great testing experience. Peterson looks a little tense and then holds up the portal gun, aims and fires. Scene 16: Cave Johnson's office there is a perspex window onto the test chamber. In the poorly lit room Cave Johnson watches Peterson as he navigates the test chamber. Through the glass we see Peterson step on a button and a companion cube is released from a funnel above his head. Peterson doesn't see the cube and the cube knocks peterson unconscious. As Peterson falls the Portal gun fires creating a portal below him. Both the cube and Peterson fall though the “hole” and then appear through a portal on the ceiling of a different part of the test chamber. Peterson lands on a platform and is clobbered by the Companion cube a second time. Cave Johnson presses a button on his intercom. Cave Johnson: The Test Subject in the Chamber 19 requires medical attention. Send a stretcher party. Thank you. (Cave releases the button on his intercom.) Greg (OV) : Yes Sir Mr Johnson. The Stretcher Party will be on their way shortly. Cave Johnson: (Pressing the intercom button again) Thank you Greg.
